Together we Grow
Our son Joe put every toy he was given straight into his mouth. Nobody could tell us where those toys came from or what was in them. That is the entire reason this company exists.
I became a father, and I could not get an answer.
I spent my working life in property management and real estate, and before that in hospitality. Then our son was born, everything within reach went into his mouth, and one afternoon I tried to find out what the thing he was chewing was actually made of.
I could not. Not the material, not the factory, not whether anyone had ever tested it. The shop did not know. The brand's website had beautiful photographs and nothing else. I stopped trusting what I found online, and after a few weeks of getting nowhere I decided to do it myself.
So my wife and I started at the other end. We learned what food-grade silicone actually is and what it is not. We asked suppliers for licences and independent test reports, which is where most conversations quietly ended. And we got on a plane and stood in the factory ourselves, because you can tell a great deal about a place by walking through it that you cannot tell from a PDF.
We are not a dropshipping shop and we are not a reseller putting a logo on somebody else's catalogue. We are two parents and a baby, and the range is deliberately small: a handful of food-grade silicone sets we can personally vouch for. Three products we can stand behind, rather than three hundred we cannot.
Everything else follows from that afternoon. If we cannot show you the paperwork, we will not make the claim.
A logo that had to mean something before we drew it
Two upright forms
Papa and mama, the same height, the same weight. Neither one carries this alone.
The square between them
Marked bb. That is Joe. He is the only part of the mark in marigold, and the only part we never recolour.
The parents hold him
They do not stand beside the child, they hold him. That is the whole company in one shape.
Joe, written twice
Once thick, once thin. Through thick and thin. A family stays together whatever happens, you keep each other close, you help each other grow. That is the whole idea behind the name, and it is why the company is not called something cleverer.
Together we Grow is not about the company getting bigger. The baby grows, the family grows, and the people who buy from us grow with it, which is why the range follows a real child's age instead of a trend calendar.
You will not see our son's face here
The company is named after a real child. He did not choose that, so he is not going to become the marketing. You will not find photographs of his face on this site or in our advertising, and he will not be recognisable on the street because of us.
We will tell you what he did with a product, because that is honest and useful. We will not sell you his childhood. If that costs us engagement, it costs us engagement.
Three phases, in this order, no shortcuts
We are at the beginning of phase one. Saying that out loud is more useful to you than pretending to be further along.
A few sets we can vouch for
Food-grade silicone for the car, the table and the floor. Small budget, small range, full documentation. Getting this right is the whole job this year.
The range grows by age
More stages covered, and wood joins silicone once we have a mill we have visited and a finish we can document the same way we document silicone.
The stage plan
The right things arriving when your child is ready for them, so you are not researching toys at eleven at night. The Lovevery lesson, at our size and in our voice.
We would rather you watched us build it
The honest disadvantage of being small is obvious. The honest advantage is that we can show you everything: what came back from the lab, which supplier we walked away from, what we got wrong and had to redo.
No investors, no board, no marketing department. Two people, a spreadsheet, and a child who is the reason for all of it.
Test reports in full. Where it is made, and who we met. Products we rejected and why.
Fear-mongering about other brands. Countdown timers. Bought reviews. Claims we cannot document.
One of us. There is nobody else to pass it to.
We have none yet, and we are not buying any
There are no reviews on this site because nobody has received a product yet. When they do, three rules: verified purchase only, unedited, and the bad ones stay up. If you ever see a wall of five stars here with no one-star among them, stop trusting us.
Verified only
A review needs an order number behind it. No incentives, no free product in exchange.
Unedited
We do not shorten, tidy or reorder. Spelling included.
The bad ones stay
If something breaks or arrives wrong, that review stays where you can read it.
