Proof, not adjectives
This page exists because of one afternoon. Our son was chewing a toy somebody gave us, and we could not find out where it was made, what the silicone was, or whether anyone had ever tested it. Nobody would tell us. Everybody had a nice website.
So this is the page we wanted to find and could not. It is not written to be enjoyable. It is written to be checked.
We are pre-launch. The factory has been visited. Samples are with the lab. No test report has been published on this site yet, because we do not have one in our hands yet.
We could have written "rigorously tested" here and nobody would have checked. That sentence is exactly what we could not verify about somebody else's toy, so it is not going on our own page.
Four steps, and any one of them can stop it
The factory, in person
Not a video call and not an agent. We go, we walk the floor, we look at how the silicone is mixed and who is standing at the machine.
The material, on paper
Food-grade silicone with documentation of the compound, not a supplier's word for it. If they cannot produce the paperwork, the conversation ends.
The independent lab
Samples go to a third party we pay and do not control. Toy safety and food contact, both, to EU standards and the stricter German silicone benchmark.
Published as it is
The report goes on the product page in full. If it comes back with a finding, that finding is published and the product does not ship.
What we ask for, and what each one is actually for
CE marking is a legal minimum, not an achievement, and a manufacturer can apply it on their own assessment. That is why we ask for third-party reports on top of it, and why we name the standard rather than writing "fully certified".
Every field we have, and every one we do not
Ten products. The empty fields are the honest part. Come back and they will be filled, or the product will be gone.
We are pre-launch. Nothing above is filled in yet, and we are not going to fill it in with words instead of documents. When the report arrives it appears here, in full, including anything we would rather it did not say.
The products we said no to
The most useful thing we can publish is not what we decided to sell, it is what we decided not to. A supplier we walked away from, a sample that came back wrong, a product idea we liked and killed.
This section is empty today because we have only just started saying no, and we are not going to invent a rejection to look principled. The first one gets written up here in full, supplier named where we are legally able to name them.
Who we are on paper

Asia. Visited in person.
Fourteen days to change your mind, the European right, and you do not have to give us a reason. Write to us and a person answers. We would rather solve it with you than hide behind a policy.
The full terms, on the returns pageNone yet. Nobody has received a product. We are not buying any.
